Nickey Performance Superstore was behind some of the most radical street cars on the planet like the Stage II 427 Camaro that was nothing less than a thinly disguised race car. Extreme attention to detail would be an understatement to describe this particular tribute that has the look and performance level of an actual Nickey Camaro minus the $200K price tag.
The performance parts on the street version of the Nickey Camaro were similar to the hard parts found on the Bill Thomas NHRA race car with the end result being a 12 second quarter mile car right off the showroom floor. This replica leaves little off the Nickey Supercar performance table with options that include; 11.0:1 427 engine, Hi- Rise aluminum intake, Holley carb, equal length headers, reproduction Gardner stainless exhaust, metallic brakes, fast ratio steering, 3/8 fuel lines, Muncie 4 speed, air induction hood, F41 Special purpose suspension, 7K Delco tach and heavy duty radiator to name a few.
No compromise attention to detail was given to every exterior component on this particular Camaro including the paint finish that's been show quality PPG Base/Cleared in it's original issue AA Tuxedo Black, color sanded and compound polished to a 10 feet deep mirror finish right through to the underside of the doors. As well all of the exterior jewellery is nothing less than pristine by way of OE replacement or show quality triple plating.
This is an original Southwest, Rallye Sport, Super Sport, AA Tuxedo Black on Black 68 Camaro with only show miles driven since completion and includes references and receipts for restoration work completed. As well this is a showroom kept, collector owned car and thanks in large part to meticulous care, looks the same as it did the day the restoration was completed. This is a balanced and blueprinted 427 professionaly built to 11:0.1 specifications with all of the requisite Nickey upgrades that include; dual plane Hi-Rise aluminum intake, equal length 4 tube headers and 3310 Holley vacume secondary carburetor with the end result being a net horsepower rating well into the 430 plus range. As well this is a road tested, fully sorted engine that starts runs and drives like an absolute dream.
