Some 50 years after Ford launched one of the biggest performance car icons of the mid 60's, the Mustang Convertible remains one of the most in demand classic car icons on the planet. The condensed version of the condition report for this particular Mustang Convertible can be summed up in two words...absolutely immaculate. Rotisserie restored with show miles only since completion, this is one of the nicest examples of a West Coast, 68 Mustang Convertible you'll find anywhere. It was business as usual for the Mustang Convertible that remained one of the most in demand performance cars to come out of Ford Division's Pony line up for 1968. This particular Mustang is the very definition of a car show trophy magnet that looks, runs and drives as good as it did the day it left the showroom floor in 1968.



A large portion of this Mustang's option list is in the name of performance and convenience including; special handling package, fast ratio power steering, 6K tach, Kelsey Hayes Disc brakes, Styled Steel wheels, turn signal hood, tinted glass, power assist top, crossover dual exhaust and Top Loader 4 speed transmission to name a few. An absolutely show quality coating of 3 stage PPG Base/Clear in it's original Gulfstream Aqua covers what is without a doubt one of the straightest examples of a 68 Mustang Convertible you'll find anywhere. Thanks in part to countless hours of color sanding and Ceramic Coat finalizing, the finish on this car is so reflective it literally looks like a house of mirrors right through to the underside of the hood. New Robbins power top, triple plate chrome, immaculate Carlite stamped glass and show quality stainless trim completes an exterior package that looks nothing less than showroom new.

This is a Metuchen built, DSO 37 car with a production date of March/6/1968 that spent most of it's life in Spring Valley Nevada until 1978, then making it's way to Vancouver B.C. in 2015. This Mustang is part of a private collection that's housed in a climate controlled facility and includes references, awards, picture documentation and receipts for restoration work completed. All new from dash chrome to carpet via Classic Mustang to the point of pristine, the look and feel of this interior looks  virtually as delivered right through to the door handles. This is the original C Code 289 engine for the car that's been professionaly rebuilt to stock standards while retaining all of it's factory issue hardware down to it's Autolite 2100 Carburetor with receipts and picture documentation to to show. Every other drivetrain component is original to the car from it's Top Loader 4 speed transmission through to it's 2.79:1 conventional axle.
