The mid sixties were landmark years for Chevrolet in terms of style and performance and nothing lived up to the billing better than the iconic 1966 Nova Super Sport. The short version of the current condition summary fo this particular car can be summed up in two words.....absolute perfection. Restoration hi-lights for this Nova Super Sport include; 10 out of 10 show quality Base /Clear paint finish, concours level chrome and exterior stainless, professionaly restored drivetrain and every inch perfect undercarraige to name a few. As well with only show miles driven since restored in 2016, this Nova looks runs and drives virtually brand new with everything mechanically sorted and in nothing less than perfect working order right down it's original issue Delco AM radio.

In 1966 you'd be hard-pressed to find a more desirable mid-size performance car than the Nova Super Sport. This particular Nova has all of the requisite Super Sport bells and whistles with options that include; L30 327 engine, Muncie 4 speed, Eaton Positraction axle, F40 performance suspension, dual exhaust, Delco Moraine front Disc brakes, Strato buckets and sports console to name a few with everything restored accurate to it's original Norwood cowl tag down to it's Ermine White with Blue interior trim combination. As well this is a lifelong West Coast (Pomona California sold), genuine 118 Super Sport Nova that retains most of it's original issue sheet metal and includes receipts and references for restoration work completed from drivetrian to paintwork and beyond. It didn't take long for Chevrolet to respond to the middle weight performance wars in 1966 with the production of the Nova Super Sport. When it comes to desirability the 1966 L30 Nova Super Sport is regarded as one of the most collectible models of the mid 60's Nova SS and was superceded performance wise only by the ultra rare L79 version.




Chevrolet came through with all of the extra performance hardware to back up it's street cred with the 66 Nova Super Sport that featured high performance 327 engine, Delco Moraine Disc brakes, posi rear axle, Muncie 4 speed and F40 performance suspension. Along with being an ISCA showcar, this Nova is a fully sorted, user friendly, near everyday driveable package that runs like an absolute dream with no issues whatsoever.



This is a May 1966 Built, genuine 11837 Super Nova that was purchased new at Valley Chevrolet in Pomona California then made its way to Vancouver when it was restored in 2016. As well this is a collector owned, showroom housed car that retains most of its original Norwood sheet metal and includes receipts and references for restoration work completed. The quality and condition level of this particular Nova is what you would expect from a no expense spared build. Restored with a perfectionists attention to detail some of the restoration hi-lights include; rebuilt Muncie transmission, new clutch, rebuilt Hurst shifter, PPG Show quality paint, all new front end right through to the sway bar bushings, rebuilt original steering box, all new alumunized H-Pipe exhaust system, new brakes, new rear axle bearings and seals, new fuel lines, balanced and blueprinted 1966 Turbo-Fire L30 327 engine, new Legendary interior (in it's original 727 Blue)... the list goes on.





Professionaly finished in it's original Ermine White the paint on this Nova is a show grade PPG Base/Clear that's been high speed micro-polished to a 10 feet deep mirror finish over some of the absolute straightest stretches of Norwood sheet metal you'll ever see on a 66 Nova. Pristine glass, diamond polished Torque Thrust wheels, show quality chrome and exterior stainless finalize an exterior package that literally looks like a rolling house of mirrors.










The Super Sport option for the 66 Nova was an upper end trim package that was one of the best layouts of the era. Options here include; Sports console, Strato buckets, in dash clock, wood wheel, and the always in demand Muncie 4 speed with everything functional and nothing less than pristine via Legendary Interiors from headliner to carpet.







This is a correct for the car, date coded L30 327 engine that's had a no expense spared, professional build from top to bottom with a $4K bill to show. Every other aspect of this drivetrain is date code 1966 right back to it's original 10 Bolt Eaton Positraction axle.
